Sources Sought Notice

This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes, not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center requires a contractor to provide reference laboratory testing services for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) genetic testing. The government is gathering information to determine potential sources for a one-time, one-year contract.

• Services: Reference laboratory testing for kidney disease genetic panels, kidney transplant assessment, and molecular residual disease (MRD) assays.

• Specific Tests:

  • Kidney Gene Panel Testing (analysis of over 380 genes for genetic kidney disease).
  • Kidney Transplant Assessment (non-invasive donor-derived cell-free DNA blood test).
  • Molecular Residual Disease (MRD) Assay (personalized tumor-informed assay).

• Locations: Services are required for Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (Indianapolis, IN), Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (Cleveland, OH), and Cincinnati VA Medical Center (Cincinnati, OH).

• Compliance: Contractor must comply with CAP, CLIA, The Joint Commission, VA policies, NFPA 99, OSHA, and HIPAA.

• Logistics: Contractor must provide all necessary supplies for specimen collection, packaging, shipping, and transportation. Paid shipping from VA facilities to the contractor's lab is required.

• Reporting: Results must be transmitted via a secured web-based portal, with specific data points required in the report.

• Customer Service: Toll-free telephone service for tracking and issue resolution.
