Scope of Work
The contractor will provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician Services, including on-site, on-call, and call-back duties for VA beneficiaries. Typical procedures include EGD (diagnostic, biopsies, banding, foreign body removal, PEG placement, bleeding treatment, dilation), flexible sigmoidoscopies, and colonoscopies (diagnostic, bleeding treatment, polypectomy, colonic decompression). ERCP/EUS procedures are not required. Providers will be responsible for inpatient rounding. Patient volume is estimated at approximately 10 outpatient procedures per day per provider, with 5-10 inpatient consults and 1-10 inpatient procedures.
