Required staffing includes a Registered Nurse (RN) certified in BLS and ACLS for moderate sedation, and a Radiology Technologist certified by ARRT or equivalent. The service is turnkey, encompassing delivery, setup, operation, and maintenance of the unit and equipment. Contractors must implement a quality assurance program, provide individual patient reports, and ensure staff adhere to VAMC Infection Control policies, including TB testing, Hepatitis B vaccination, drug testing, and background checks. Compliance with VA information security and privacy requirements, as detailed in Appendix C, is mandatory.
