Quick Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically NETWORK CONTRACT OFFICE 19, is conducting market research for on-site dialysis services, including Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD) and Prolonged Intermittent Renal Replacement Therapy (PIRRT), for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Tulsa, OK. This Special Notice is for an anticipated firm fixed-price contract. The Industry Day format has been amended from virtual to a written questions and answers process. Vendors are encouraged to submit their capabilities.

Purpose

This Special Notice serves as an Industry Day and market research effort to gather information from current industry providers of on-site dialysis services. It is not a solicitation and does not guarantee future business. The VA aims to identify qualified firms for an anticipated firm fixed-price contract with a base year and four option years.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for in-person (by the vendor's company) dialysis services provided directly to medical centers, specifically IHD and PIRRT. Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) are explicitly excluded. Mandatory personnel include a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) and a Biomedical Technician, with a Patient Care Technician (PCT) being optional. Contractors will provide personnel, dialysis equipment, and consumables, while the VA will supply intravenous fluids, medications, ESAs, and activated vitamin D analogs.

Engagement & Submissions

The original virtual Industry Day has been changed to a written questions and answers format. Questions from interested vendors will be posted through an amendment by April 14, 2026. Prior to this, vendors are encouraged to email their capabilities to Tamanica.danford-leaf@va.gov. Capabilities should directly address the provision of in-person dialysis services to medical centers and include business name, address, point of contact, business size, DUNS number, information on recent/relevant projects, a capability statement, and product literature.
