Quick Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day focused on healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), advanced automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. This event, scheduled for May 19, 2026, in Phoenix, AZ, aims to gather information on innovative technologies to improve operational efficiency and financial performance within the VA enterprise. This is for planning purposes only and is not a solicitation or request for proposals.

Purpose of Industry Day

The VA's Revenue Operations (RO) Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) is seeking to identify vendor capabilities in RCM, automation, and AI. Areas of specific interest include:

  • AI-enabled RCM: Solutions for insurance verification, preauthorization, account follow-up, and denials processes.
  • Revenue Integrity tools: Enhancing provider/employee engagement and financial practices.
  • Charge Master development: Tools for optimization.
  • Oracle/Cerner Millennium bolt-on applications: For standardized, real-time, and historical reporting.
  • Automation: Of Revenue Utilization Review (RUR) and Service Connected/Special Authority (SC/SA) activities. Solutions should demonstrate measurable return on investment (ROI), ensure AI auditability, and integrate directly into VA workflows, particularly with Oracle/Cerner Millennium.
