Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace four (4) old HySecurity industrial sliding gate operators at the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa with four (4) new HySecurity sliding gate operators, ensuring the system is fully functional, tested, and commissioned according to manufacturer standards and U.S. Embassy security requirements.

• Site Survey & Preparation: Familiarization with existing gate infrastructure.

• Removal of Existing Equipment: Safe removal and disposal of four old HySecurity SlideDriver 50VF2-EFO operators located at two gates.

• Installation of New Operators: Installation of four new HySecurity operators (three SlideDriver 50VF2/3 and one Slide Driver II SD50F), ensuring proper alignment and integration with existing sliding gates and systems. Two SlideDrivers will be installed at each gate.

• Specification and Drive Type: New operators require continuous duty, 220V 50Hz Single Phase, 2 hp Horsepower, Hydraulic Drive with VFD motor control.

• Wiring & Components: Installation of associated control wiring, safety devices (photo eyes, edge sensors), and connection to the electrical power source.

• Testing & Commissioning: Functional tests to ensure gates operate within designated safety standards (UL 325 and ASTM 2200), verified by US Embassy COR.

• Site Cleanup: Daily cleaning of the work area and removal of construction debris.

• Training: Comprehensive training for local Embassy staff on operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of the new system.

• Gates must operate within designated safety standards (UL 325 and ASTM 2200).

• Work must be verified by US Embassy COR.

• The installation, testing, and training must be completed within 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

• Work schedule: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

• Contractor Responsibilities: Provide all labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and materials. Specify and arrange for necessary tools (cranes, forklifts, etc.) in advance. Provide certified and experienced technicians familiar with HySecurity systems. Adhere strictly to safety guidelines. All personnel must obtain security access to the U.S. Embassy compound.

• Deliverables: Installation, testing, and commissioning of 4 operators; O&M training completion report; as-built drawings/wiring diagrams; operation and maintenance manuals; trip completion report, spare part and service contract recommendation.
