Scope of Work
This project involves modernizing the Dietetics Kitchen on the first floor of Building 1 at the Phoenix Arizona Veteran Administration Healthcare System (PVAHCS) campus. The construction will be completed in one phase and includes:
- A leased temporary mobile kitchen structure (managed by the contractor) with food services, food production equipment, and six administrative workspaces. This temporary kitchen must support 900 meals per day and connect to existing Phoenix VA utilities.
- A complete "turn-key" remodeled Dietetics Kitchen, including the purchase, storage, assembly, connection, and testing of all equipment.
- New construction elements such as office spaces, walls, ceilings, flooring, and utilities in the nutrition cooking, food storage, and refrigeration areas.
- The remodel will correct infrastructure deficiencies, remediate pest infestation, and improve workplace safety across an 11,500 square feet area.
- Construction activities must allow for the continued operation of food production for PVAHCS-Nutrition, Hospitality and Food Service.
