Scope of Work
The project requires furnishing all equipment, labor, supervision, and materials to replace three existing AHUs, the kitchen overhead door air curtain, and motors/bearings for various kitchen supply and exhaust fans. The scope includes:
- Replacement: Three AHUs (in kind), kitchen overhead door air curtain, all exhaust fans, and kitchen supply make-up air fans. Contractor must survey existing fans for replacement types.
- Demolition: Removal of existing AHUs, exhaust fans, and supply fans.
- New Construction: Installation of new AHUs, exhaust/supply fans, volume balancing dampers, replacement of a collapsed return duct for AHU-3, and chilled water supply strainers.
- Electrical Work: Installation of new breakers, disconnect switches, and wiring.
- Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB): Contractor is responsible for providing commissioning and TAB for air and water systems, including a post-TAB.
- Phasing: The project is phased over 145 calendar days, including Survey (5 days), Submittals/Procurement (90 days), Installation (45 days), and Testing/Balancing/Closeout (5 days). AHU replacements will be sequenced during evening hours.
Contract Details

- Period of Performance: 145 calendar days from the date of award, with performance starting within 10 calendar days after award.

Key Requirements & Clarifications
- Submittals: A Material Submittals Schedule (MSS) must be followed, and all submittals require a Transmittal Form (AF 3000) and a Buy American Act compliance certification. Allow 30 days for CO review.
- Personnel: Superintendent and QA/QC roles must be performed by two separate individuals. A contract-specific QA/QC plan is required; a contract-specific Safety Plan is not.
- Wage Rates: Bidders must adhere to the prevailing wage rates specified in Wage Determination MS20260050 for Harrison County, MS.
- Site & Safety: Jobsite must be maintained neatly, enclosed with a 6' chain link fence. Compliance with OSHA, NFPA, UFC, and environmental regulations (SWPPP, asbestos, lead-based paint) is mandatory.
- Funds: Funds are not presently available for this effort; award is contingent upon fund availability. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation.
