Statement of Work (SOW)

This project aims to replace an aging and obsolete Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument (JODA) Maintenance Shop to ensure reliable life-safety and fire protection system functionality. The goal is a like-for-like renewal of the system's head-end and interfaces to restore full, code-compliant operation.

• Remove and replace the existing FACP with a new, listed conventional panel (Silent Knight SK-5208 or equivalent).

• Reconnect and terminate all existing fire alarm initiating device and notification appliance circuits to the new panel.

• Monitor existing fire sprinkler riser valve tamper supervisory switches and waterflow alarm switch, providing distinct annunciation and labeling.

• Install new conduit and wiring from the FACP to sprinkler riser devices (approx. 10 feet).

• Coordinate cutover to the Government's existing central station monitoring service.

• Test, commission, and document the system, including acceptance testing with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)/designee and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
