Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is soliciting proposals for the replacement of a dental dry vacuum pump system for the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (SORCC) in White City, OR. This is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside opportunity, seeking a "brand name or equal" replacement for the existing Mojave Dual System Pump and Tank. Proposals are due March 26, 2026.
Scope of Work
This requirement involves replacing an obsolete dental vacuum system with a modern, dry vacuum solution featuring intelligent control and minimal maintenance. Key requirements include:
- Providing a system that offers stable vacuum levels (8–10 inHg, up to 15 inHg for V15M) with on-demand flow and load-balanced multi-pump operation.
- Features such as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), smart control and monitoring (auto-adjustment, load balancing, real-time data), and IoT integration for remote monitoring.
- Compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA 99, OSHA, VA infection control, and EPA Dental Rule.
- Installation includes removal of the old system, capping/reconnecting piping, providing anchorage and vibration isolation, and ensuring sound attenuation. The contractor is responsible for removal, with items to be moved to an on-site VA-specified location (not disposal).
- Deliverables include the installed system, training, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranty certificates (1-year parts and labor required), and a preventive maintenance schedule.
