Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace the existing below-floor sanitary drain piping systems within the United States National Poultry Research Center (USNPRC) facility in Athens, GA, with new 316L stainless steel piping to improve durability and long-term performance.

• Demolish existing HDPE drain piping and install new 316L stainless steel drain piping.

• Work includes demolition, fabrication, installation, coordination, and cleanup.

• Drain vent and sanitary piping extending above the floor decking is excluded.

• Work will be performed in occupied, operational facilities and coordinated with USDA personnel.

• The project must be completed within 180 days from the notice to proceed.

• Contractor must adhere to the May 2024 International Plumbing Code (IPC), Chapter 3, Section 312 for drainage system testing.

• Contractor must meet ARS 242.1M P&P titled “ARS Facilities Design Standards" and all applicable federal, state, and local building codes, industry standards, and health and safety codes.

• A Site Safety Specific Plan (SSSP)/Accident Prevention Plan must be submitted within 14 days of contract award.

• A guarantee against faulty material and workmanship for at least one year from final acceptance is required.

• The period of performance is 6 months.

• The project completion shall not exceed 180 days from the date of notice to proceed.

• Work will be performed at the USNPRC facility located at 950 College Station Road, Athens, GA.

• Contractor must have extensive knowledge of design and facilities operations within animal agricultural research laboratories, including BSL-2, BSL-3, ABSL-3, and BSL-3Ag environments.

• Contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and services.
