Quick Summary
The 187th Operations Support Squadron (OPS) at Montgomery, AL, announces its intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Senergy Power Solutions for an Upgraded Kubota Lowboy Generator. This action is pursued under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, citing "Only One Responsible Source." The government has determined Senergy Power Solutions is the only source capable of providing the required supplies and services.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for a new, upgraded Kubota Lowboy diesel generator (11KW, 120-240 diesel) that must be fully integrated with the existing KRAYT system. This includes specific, proprietary modifications to ensure seamless operation with currently fielded equipment.
Justification for Sole Source
Senergy Power Solutions is uniquely positioned due to:
- Proprietary Integration: The generator must be mounted to and utilized with the KRAYT system and integrated into Senergy Power Solutions' proprietary Containerized Hybrid Integrated Power System (CHIPS).
- Exclusive Technology and Expertise: Senergy Power Solutions has exclusive access to the necessary technology and specialized expertise required for seamless and compliant integration, including proprietary knowledge of the KRAYT electrical system and CHIPS architecture.
- Required Custom Modifications: Specific modifications can only be performed by the original equipment manufacturer to ensure system compatibility and maintain operational integrity. These include integration into CHIPS, an upgraded custom fuel tank, auto on/off functionality for KRAYT, custom fittings, a winch, and custom paint.
