Specific testing certifications are required for annealing, age hardening, and ultrasonic inspection of starting material (QQ-N-286 with diameter/minimum distance of 4 inches or greater). Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests for QQ-N-286 must be conducted by approved laboratories.
Traceability is paramount for Level I/SUBSAFE systems, requiring unique traceability numbers marked on materials and linked to certification test reports. Material handling procedures must prevent commingling and ensure traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Receiving and final inspections include 100% verification of traceability markings and certification data.
