• Provide landfill services for Yosemite National Park, accepting solid waste, organic waste, and recyclables.

• The landfill must be permitted by the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) with concurrence from CalRecycle, California.

• The landfill must be located no further than 40 miles from El Portal, California.

• The service will accept municipal waste, household waste, demolition materials, organic waste, appliances, mattresses, tires, etc.

• Organic waste is to be used for a composting facility or as alternative daily cover.

• The landfill must accommodate waste disposal seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.

• The frequency of waste disposal trips can range from 15 to 60 trips per month.

• The contractor must utilize a State-certified scale to weigh waste by the ton, with weigh tickets signed and provided to the government driver.

• Anticipated contract award by July 15, 2026.

• Option to extend yearly up to four years.

• NAICS Code: 562212 (Solid Waste Landfill) with a small business size standard of $47.0 million in annual receipts.

• Interested contractors should submit a Capability Statement (less than 5 pages) by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, February 23, 2026, via email to lisa_henson@nps.gov.

• The Capability Statement should include company name, address, POC, UEI #, GSA contract # (if applicable), eligibility for small business programs, estimated setup time, types of waste accepted, landfill site address, and at least two references for similar projects within the preceding three years.

• Responses will be evaluated to determine if the acquisition will be a set-aside for small businesses or full and open competition.

• The NPS is seeking information from small businesses, Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises, certified 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-owned, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.

• A decision will be made whether to issue the solicitation as a set-aside for specific small business categories or as full and open competition.

• This is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by the Government.

• No reimbursement will be made for costs associated with providing information.
