Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide routine sanitizing, sealant maintenance, and restoration for ceramic tiled flooring and grout in public restrooms at the Puget Sound VA Health Care System's Seattle and American Lakes campuses. This service is essential for maintaining a sanitized and visually appealing environment in high-traffic areas.

• Apply protective sealant to approximately 15,394 sq ft of tile and grout and 20,000 sq ft of terrazzo flooring.

• Provide quarterly maintenance services for 40,000 sq ft of tile flooring, including the first 4 inches of adjacent walls.

• Perform restorative services to maintain a 'like new' appearance of ceramic tiled flooring and grout, ensuring surfaces are free of dirt, debris, odors, and stains.

• Replace missing grout with a matching product (Channel Changer Grout Replacement).

• Clean and prepare flooring for maintenance services.

• Apply Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant for daily deep cleaning and sanitizing.

• Remove existing polymer coatings using Durable Coating Remover (DCR) as needed.

• Color seal grout lines with "Channel Changer" for consistent appearance.

• Apply an Inorganic Siloxane based protective barrier (equivalent to "Proprius-One") with a high gloss finish.

• Only use EPA List-N approved products for daily disinfecting against SARS-CoV-2.

• All surfaces must be free of dirt, debris, odors, and stains.

• Missing grout shall be replaced and matched in color and texture.

• Restrooms must be available for foot traffic by 6 am daily.

• A 5-year warranty is required, covering excessive wear, yellowing, and delamination.

• Ongoing maintenance must assure a 'like new' appearance.

• The condition of the sealant must be maintained for optimal visual appearance.

• Provide scheduled routines for deep cleaning and touchpoint sanitizing to EMS staff.

• Provide cleaning training to EMS staff and other relevant contractors.

• Seattle and American Lakes campuses of the Puget Sound VA Health Care System.

Sources Sought Notice

This notice is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20), for market research purposes. The VA is seeking to identify potential contractors capable of providing grout restoration and maintenance services for the Spokane VAMC. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded from this notice.
