Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive refuse collection and disposal services. This includes furnishing, servicing, and maintaining dumpsters, providing roll-off services for bulk waste, and servicing VA-owned portable containers. Services must adhere to commercial industry practices and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA and EPA regulations. The scope covers:
- Collection and disposal of waste from dumpsters and roll-off containers.
- Dumpster maintenance, including cleaning and ensuring good working condition.
- Timely delivery and removal of roll-off containers (within 24 hours for delivery, 6 hours for removal/emptying).
- Management of delays due to inclement weather or other factors.
- Contingency support and support for special events, including handling abnormal quantities of refuse.
- Off-facility disposal to licensed sites, with the contractor bearing responsibility for transport, permits, and fees.
