Scope of Work

The requirement is for a turn-key design, engineering, supply, delivery, installation, assembly, set-up, and training for a crossdraft-style sanding booth in an existing building at TYAD. The booth must be a minimum of 39 feet long, 16 feet wide, and 14 feet high inside, accommodating up to four workers. The system includes the crossdraft booth, a three-stage air filtration system (plus a fourth for VOC, including HEPA Activated Carbon), front bifold door, rear roll-up door, personnel doors, interior LED lighting (100 foot-candles), central vacuum, and compressed/breathable air connection points. Additional options may include fire protection, fall protection, and pull-down hose reels.

The system must meet National Electrical Code (NEC) Standard for Class 1, Division 1 Environment due to dust explosivity test results (St 1, Weak Explosion), with electrical controls rated minimum Type 12 NEMA. Compliance with applicable OSHA, NFPA, UFC, and Local codes (Ventilation, Noise Exposure, Air Contaminants) is mandatory. The system must be designed for 480V/3 Phase/60 Hz or 208V/3 Phase/60 Hz power, with 120V/1 Phase/60 Hz controls. Noise levels must not exceed 65 decibels outside TYAD property. Note: The product cannot originate from China or any other non-covered country.

Special Requirements & Notes

A mandatory site visit is required. Technical questions must be submitted in writing. The contractor will be responsible for all site preparation, including excavation, concrete work, and utility connections. All work inside the building must use electric-powered or battery-powered tools. The contractor must supply all PPE, comply with TYAD Environmental, Safety, and Fire Standards, and meet CMMC Level 2 requirements.

Other requirements include providing training for operators and maintenance personnel, O&M Manuals, Parts Manuals, and CADD as-built drawings. The project timeline for a potential future contract is 360 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) for completion, with assembly, installation, and training completed within 120 calendar days of NTP. A one-year warranty with annual Preventive Maintenance and 72-hour field repair response is required.
