Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, and supervision to construct, maintain, and remove a full containment scaffolding system around the 154-foot Fast Response Cutter. Key requirements include:
- Scaffolding & Containment: Erecting a Safway-type or compatible scaffolding system with 100% fireproof shrink-wrap containment (sides and roof). The structure must be approximately 40 ft wide, 168 ft long, and 55 ft tall, secured to the dock, and provide 12 inches of clearance from the hull. It must withstand 60 MPH wind gusts and 6 inches of wet snow, and contain blast media/paint overspray.
- Access: Include ladders on all corners, an 8-foot entrance clearance from the gangway, four double-wide personnel/equipment access doors on each side, and bow/stern doors.
- Engineering: Submission of Professional Engineer-stamped design drawings for structure survivability (wind/snow loads) with the proposal, and a final PE inspection for acceptance. Weekly safety inspections are mandatory.
- Safety: Strict adherence to OSHA Shipyard standards (29 CFR 1915), COVID safety practices, and security requirements (RAPIDGate/TWIC access may be needed).
