  • Removal of 146 existing ceiling lift units.
  • Installation of 825lb and 605lb GH3+ patient ceiling lift systems in various configurations across multiple departments (Emergency Department, Community Living Center, Oncology, Med Surg, SCI, Radiology).
  • Ensuring the system covers all patient care rooms and provides maximum coverage in 2-West patient bathrooms.
  • Obtaining third-party structural engineer verification for the design.
  • Providing basic troubleshooting training for VAPSHCS Healthcare Technology Management staff.
  • Supplying 146 compatible slings.
  • Work will be performed in phases, installing 1-3 rooms at a time, not exceeding 4 rooms concurrently, while units remain active inpatient areas.
  • Contractor must coordinate all products and services from manufacturer to final acceptance.

Key Requirements & Performance Standards

  • Equipment must meet specifications in Attachment A (Salient Characteristics), including a minimum 825 lbs weight rating for lifts.
  • All products and components must be new.
  • A minimum three-year warranty is required, covering parts, materials, installation, and travel.
  • Installation must comply with Federal, State, local safety and fire regulations, including NFPA 13, NFPA 99, and NFPA 70.
  • All Contractor personnel must have OSHA 10-hour construction safety training.
  • Lifts must have an internal scale with LCD hand control, seamless rail transition, continuous AC charging, a minimum 10-year lifespan, and UL certification.
