Scope of Work

Key Requirements
The social worker must hold a Master's degree or higher in Social Work, possess an active New Mexico School Personnel Licensure (Level One Pre K-12), and be certified as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners. A minimum of one year of school-based social work experience is required. Preferred experience includes working on Native American reservations, with BIE-funded schools, or with Native American students in New Mexico. Personnel must successfully complete a BIE background check, be eligible for a suitability determination, and be U.S. citizens.
Contract Details
This is a Labor Hour type purchase order with a base year (April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027) and four option years, extending through March 31, 2031. The period of performance will be adjusted upon award. Services will be performed at the Taos Day School, with core duty hours typically 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM MST during the 180-day academic calendar (August-May). The estimated number of hours is 760 per period (38 weeks x 20 hours/week).
Submission & Evaluation
Quotes are due by April 3, 2026, and must be submitted via email to michelle.nahlee@bie.edu. Evaluation will be based on FAR 13.106-2(b)(3), considering non-price information (understanding of SOW, personnel qualifications, relevant expertise), price (completeness and reasonableness), and meeting the Total Small Business set-aside requirements. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Amendment 0001, which changed the set-aside and extended the due date. Failure to acknowledge may result in offer rejection.
