Scope of Work
The renovation project for Building 317 will include several sole-source brand requirements:
- Door Locks: Installation of Best Coremax keying systems (keys and cores) for all project doors.
- Fire Alarm/Mass Notification System: Installation of a Simplex fire monitoring system for the fire alarm panel and associated signaling, due to its compatibility with existing installation fire protection standards.
- HVAC: Installation of Andover Continuum Direct Digital Controls (DDC) (now owned by EcoStruxureware Controls), in accordance with Air Force standardization decisions.
- Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E): Project specifications include name-brand products for FF&E, such as office chairs, desks, systems furniture, demountable partitions, and storage. In each case, a minimum of three products from three separate manufacturers are cited, as required by UFC 3-120-10 Interior Design, Chapter 2.
