Scope of Work

The objective is to provide labor, personnel, supervision, tools, and materials for the testing, certification, and decontamination of primary engineering controls, specialized rooms, and equipment ventilation systems requiring clean air certifications. Services must comply with CETA Guidelines, USP 797, USP 800, ANSI/ASHRAE 110, ISO 14644, and NSF/ANSI 49 standards.

Key services include:

• Testing and certification of chemical fume hoods, laminar flow hoods, biological safety cabinets, and cleanrooms.
• Specific tests such as airflow velocity, HEPA/ULPA filter leak, lighting intensity, vibration, noise level, electrical leakage, pressure tests, and various particle counts (total, viable, non-viable).
• Environmental air sampling, surface sampling, personnel competency assessments, and environmental wipe sampling for hazardous drug residue.
• Emergency calls are included, and HEPA filter replacement and minor repairs may be provided.

Performance & Personnel Requirements

• Services must adhere to the most recent versions of specified guidelines (USP, CETA, NSF/ANSI, ASHRAE, IEST, VHA Directives).
• Equipment used for certification must be calibrated and NIST traceable.
• Reports are required within 14 business days, with immediate notification for failed testing.
• Contractor personnel must have at least 2 years of experience and training in relevant standards.
• Testing and certifications must be reviewed and signed by an NSF/ANSI-49 and CETA Certified National Board of Testing (CNBT) Registered Certified Professional (RCP).
• The laboratory used must be AIHA or A2LA accredited.
• Contractors must respond to emergency repairs within 24 hours.

3. Affirmation of capability to perform in accordance with the attached Requirement Description.
4. Schedule of Pricing.
5. Identification of specific locations within the WSNC catchment area that can be serviced with existing capabilities.
