Scope of Work

The contractor shall procure and manufacture 2,000 black cadet parkas according to detailed specifications. Key requirements include:

• Parka Construction: Unlined, made with a shell of melton cloth (90% Wool, 10% Nylon), featuring a hood with zipper closure, front zipper, two front slant-pockets with double welts, and knit sleeve cuffs.
• Government Furnished Material (GFM): The government will provide the primary fabric (melton cloth), pocket welt material, knit sleeve cuffs, and zippers.
• Sizing: Parkas must be available in various chest sizes (32-56) and lengths (X-Short to XX-Long) as specified.
• Manufacturing Standards: Detailed instructions for cutting (using Gerber AccuMark patterns), stitching (8-9 stitches per inch), seam allowance (3/8"), thread (TEX 40 Soft, core-spun, cotton/polyester, black), and labeling.
• Quality Assurance: Contractor must certify product conformance to specifications. The government reserves the right to inspect and require proof of conformance.
