To provide speech and language therapy services to students at San Ildefonso Day School who have been identified with speech or language impairments that impede academic performance.

• Provide speech/language services to students diagnosed as speech-language impaired, hearing impaired, or with other certified diagnoses.

• Conduct screenings for new students and full screenings for incoming kindergarteners.

• Work with students in small groups and 1:1 settings, in both disabled and non-disabled environments.

• Remediate speech articulation deficits and improve receptive and expressive language skills.

• Evaluate students for hearing, speech, or language deficits.

• Provide suggestions for therapy services that can be carried into the home.

• Provide therapeutic services to aid students with adaptations in the general education classroom.

• Attend IEP meetings and work with the MDT to determine Least Restrictive Environment.

• Complete evaluations within 60 days of receiving signed Permission to Evaluate forms.

• Conduct audio-metric screenings on special education students.

• Create plans for existing students receiving services for multiple years where disability is not related to organic factors.
