  • Routine equipment and software sustainment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Replacement of faulty parts to restore full operational capability for pilot training.
  • Implementing semi-permanent or permanent changes to the device and software to match aircraft characteristics and upgrades.
  • Documenting maintenance and sustainment on AF form 781.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Quarterly events including hardware inspection, cleaning, diagnostics, calibration, software verification, and functional checks.
  • Corrective Maintenance (CM): Acknowledgment within 24 business hours, on-site response within 24 business hours for non-remote issues, and return to operations within 48 business hours.
  • Software Maintenance: Installation of OEM updates, patches, and security updates within 10 business days of release and compatibility confirmation.
