Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This solicitation seeks proposals for the rental, installation, testing, and removal of temporary transportable steam boilers at USMA West Point, NY, for the summer of 2026. The primary objective is to provide essential heating services during scheduled steam shutdowns.

• Boiler Specifications: Two 800hp/250psi max pressure transportable steam boilers are required.

• Installation: Includes natural gas connections, on-call service, chemical treatment, and all associated labor, materials, and equipment.

• Locations: Bldg. 756 (Bradley barracks courtyard) and Bldg. 845 (Power plant).

• Period of Performance:

  • Bldg. 604 boiler: May 22nd to June 21st, 2026 (one month).
  • Bldg. 845 boiler: Dates TBD in summer 2026 (one month).

• Removal: Contractor must disconnect and demobilize temporary boilers and associated equipment by June 21st, 2026.

• Piping: Installation and reconnection of steam and condensate piping, meeting ASME and OSHA standards.

• Electrical: Supply and installation of temporary electrical cables and connections.

• On-Call Service: Contractor must provide on-call maintenance and repair for supplied equipment during operation, with response times of two hours (normal hours) and four hours (after hours). No additional payment for repair parts or materials.
