Purpose & Scope
The primary objective of the TPharm6 contract is to administer the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program, ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective healthcare benefit. The contractor will be responsible for:
- Processing claims from various sources (retail, TMOP, MTF, VA, IHS, Medicaid).
- Administering a retail pharmacy network across the U.S. and its territories.
- Operating the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy (TMOP) program.
- Performing claims adjudication, including eligibility, cost-sharing, OHI, DUR, and catastrophic cap management.
- Managing clinical reviews, including prior authorization and medical necessity.
- Providing beneficiary and pharmacy support services.
- Ensuring system security, reliability, and compliance with TRICARE policy, HIPAA, and federal information requirements.
- Supporting interfaces with government systems (DEERS, PDW, OMDS, Federal EHR).
