Quick Summary

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) has issued a Special Notice / Request for Information (RFI) for the next generation TRICARE Pharmacy Program (TPharm6) contract. This RFI seeks industry feedback on Draft Section C (Statement of Work) and Section H (Special Contract Requirements) to refine the acquisition planning. The program aims to provide comprehensive pharmacy services to approximately 9.5 million active duty and retired service members and their families.

Purpose

The DHA is in the acquisition planning phase for the TPharm6 contract. This RFI provides draft documents for industry review and feedback, which will inform the final solicitation. The Government also plans to facilitate one-on-one meetings with industry in summer 2026 to gather additional insights.

Scope of Work (Based on Draft Section C)

The future contractor will be responsible for administering the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program, encompassing:

  • Administering a comprehensive retail pharmacy network across the U.S. and its territories.
  • Operating the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy (TMOP), including dispensing and delivery.
