Scope of Work

All food must meet current USDA and FDA health standards, be obtained from licensed sources, and prepared in licensed locations. Menus must be developed with a registered nutritionist/dietitian, ensuring age-appropriate nutritional standards, variety, and palatability, including diverse/restricted diets (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, pork-free). Two of the three daily meals must contain a hot entrée and be delivered/served hot. Estimated meal requirements can range from 10 to over 5,000 per meal period.

- Evaluation Basis: Best-value. The Technical and Management Approach is more important than Past Performance, and both combined are equal to Price. Proposals should be organized into Technical and Management Approach, Past Performance, and Price sections.
- Required Submissions: Offerors must complete the provided Statement of Work (SOW), Past Performance Questionnaire, and separate pricing sheets for each region they intend to serve. A Food Safety Plan/Quality Control Plan is also required.
Special Requirements
Contractor personnel require a current favorable background investigation. Compliance with PREA (Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Assault) and the Flores Settlement Agreement (for Rio Grande Valley and El Paso sectors) is mandatory. Services must be provided during all Federal Holidays and weekends.
