Purpose

The objective is to prepare the Aeronautics Laboratory for modernization.

Scope of Work

The contractor will be responsible for the safe and systematic disassembly of the CWT. Key tasks include:

  • Dismantling: Disassembly of the CWT and all associated support equipment.
  • Utility Securing: Proper termination of electrical and mechanical utility connections by licensed professionals, including draining and disposal of oils, coolants, or hydraulic fluids in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Rigging and Removal: Loading and hauling of all CWT components from the project site.
  • Disposal: Transportation and verifiable turn-in of all government property to a local scrap yard, confirmed by certified weight tickets.
  • Site Cleanup: Leaving the project site in a "broom clean" and safe condition. The project requires specialized skills in millwrighting, heavy machinery rigging, heavy equipment operation, and experience with government property disposal procedures. The CWT has been certified as purged of Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS).
