Scope of Work

This requirement is for non-personal services to provide comprehensive grounds and airfield maintenance, furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies. The core requirement involves recurring grass cutting, vegetation control, and groundskeeping services across approximately 3,217 acres.

Key functional areas and performance standards include:

  • Airfield Maintenance: Maintaining designated airfield areas (runways, taxiways, infields) with grass height strictly between 6 and 12 inches to mitigate Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) and ensure safe aviation operations.
  • Training Area & Range Maintenance: Maintaining specified training ranges, impact areas, and support facilities with grass height not to exceed 6 inches to ensure clear lines of sight, reduce fire hazards, and facilitate safe training.

Services will be performed at Fort Bragg, Pope Army Airfield (AAF), Simmons Army Airfield (AAF), Camp Mackall, and Range Control in North Carolina. Maintenance activities are adjusted for growing (March-October) and limited growing (November-February) seasons.
