Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To ensure life safety systems at the Cass Job Corps Center are operational at all times, providing comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance services for fire alarm systems, portable fire extinguishers, Ansul fire suppression systems (vent hoods), and smoke detectors.

• Annual Fire Alarm System Testing: Comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance of Government-owned fire alarm systems and associated components in various buildings, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72, OSHA, and applicable codes. This includes testing control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and digital alarm transmitters.

• Annual Portable Fire Extinguisher Inspections: Inspection, maintenance, testing, recharging, and repair of all Government-owned portable fire extinguishers, ensuring full operational condition and compliance with NFPA 10, OSHA, and manufacturer specifications.

• Semi-Annual Ansul Fire Suppression Inspections: Inspection, testing, and maintenance of Government-owned Ansul wet chemical fire suppression systems (vent hoods) in commercial cooking operations, ensuring compliance with NFPA 96, OSHA, and manufacturer specifications.

• 3-Year Smoke Detector Sensitivity Testing: Required sensitivity testing on all Government-owned smoke detectors to maintain life safety standards, in compliance with NFPA 72, OSHA, and manufacturer specifications.

• Location: Cass Job Corps Center campus, approximately 25 miles north of Ozark, Arkansas (21424 North Highway 23, Ozark Arkansas 72949).

• Services are to be performed during normal duty hours (0800-1600 Monday through Friday), excluding Federal Holidays, unless otherwise coordinated.

• Compliance: All work must adhere to the latest editions of NFPA 72, NFPA 10, NFPA 96, OSHA regulations, Federal/State/Local Codes, and specific manufacturer specifications.

• Personnel: Contractor personnel must present a neat appearance and be easily recognizable.

• Tools & Equipment: Contractor shall furnish all necessary tools and calibrated test equipment.

• Submittals/Deliverables: Separate inspection reports for each system tested/inspected, provided in hard copy and electronic PDF format within fourteen (14) days of inspection. Reports must include specific details as outlined in Section 1.1.6.

• Government Furnished Property: Use of Government existing facilities (water, electrical power) is permitted. Telephone service is not provided.

• Safety: Contractor must comply with all applicable OSHA standards and maintain a written Safety Program.

• Damages: Contractor is responsible for any damages to Government property caused by negligence.
