Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, through MSCHQ NORFOLK, is soliciting proposals for fire pump parts for the USNS ALAN SHEPARD. This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation seeks to procure specific components, including shafts, keys, and HTFW pumps, to be delivered to San Diego, CA. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price arrangement. Proposals are due by April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.
Scope of Work
This acquisition is for critical parts required for the USNS ALAN SHEPARD's CASCOR C3 FWD Emergency Firepump and to replace damaged HTFW Central Cooling Pumps. The required items include:
- Item 0001: SHAFT P/N 7-0125-01
- Item 0002: 316SS KEY P/N 319-26-1064
- Item 0003: MONEL KEY P/N 319-26-1137
- Item 0004: HTFW PUMP (BUFFALO 5VHSM-2) P/N NA2004 (3 units) A justification for other than full and open competition indicates that these specific Buffalo Pump parts and pumps are required due to exclusive licensing agreements with BUFFALO Pumps, which are only distributed through ECI Defense Group. No other pumps will match form, fit, or function without extensive engineering. Delivery is urgent, required by May 19, 2026, to coincide with a Vessel Repair Availability (VRA) schedule.
