USNS CODY PREHEATING UNIT

This solicitation is for the procurement of a "USNS CODY PREHEATING UNIT FOR SHIP SERVICE DIESEL GENERATOR".

• The primary deliverable is one (1) Preheating Unit, Part number 00B64900.

• The contractor shall provide DoD unique identification or a DoD recognized unique identification equivalent, as per DFARS 252.211-7003.

• Packaging and marking shall comply with DODMANUAL 4140.01, VOLUME 9, and MIL-STD-2073-1(series) or ASTM D3951(series).

• Crating shall comply with International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) Publication No. 15.

• Markings on outside of box/crate/container shall consist of a minimum 2-inch stenciled letters including "MARK FOR: USNS CODY (T-EPF 14)", "REQUISITION NUMBER: N297976108S323", and "PURCHASE/DELIVERY ORDER NUMBER: TBD".

• Any previous markings contradicting current material inventory must be painted over/removed.

• Shipments for multiple vessels must be delivered in separate boxes/crates/containers for each vessel.

• Pricing Arrangement: Firm Fixed Price.

• Delivery is FOB Destination.

• Delivery On Or Before: 01 Jul 2026.

• Inspection and Acceptance Location: Destination.

• Inspection and Acceptance will be conducted in accordance with contract terms and conditions.

• This is a simplified acquisition.

• Quotes must be submitted via email to the contracting officer and contract specialist identified in block 9 of the SF1449.

• Quotes must be in Adobe or Microsoft Office format.

• Vendor's standard commercial terms and conditions may be considered a material defect and may be rejected.

• Evaluation Factors:

  • TECHNICAL: Quoted parts must meet solicitation requirements, including delivery dates and terms and conditions. The quote must state that all technical requirements, including delivery date and part numbers, can be met.
  • PRICE: Quoted pricing will be evaluated for reasonableness.

• The Government may issue a purchase order to Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, Inc. as the sole source vendor if they provide a technically acceptable quote at a fair and reasonable price.

• The acquisition is UNRESTRICTED.

• NAICS Code: 333618.

• The solicitation incorporates by reference FAR 52.212-1, 52.12-4, and 52.12-5.

• Payment will be made via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).

• Duty-free entry is required for this material. Contractor must initiate the entitlement request via PIEE.
