Scope of Work
The project requires the provision and installation of temporary chill water (TEMP CW) units to maintain temperatures below 80 degrees Fahrenheit in designated spaces aboard the USS PIONEER. Key tasks include:
- Installation of TEMP CW units in various compartments (e.g., Combat Information Center, Communication Center, Gyro, Central Control Station, CO/XO State Rooms, Ship's Office, Supply Department Office, Crew Living Spaces).
- Fabricating adapters for connecting TEMP CW flexible hoses with cooling coil (CC) and fan coil assembly (FCA).
- Connecting appropriate power distribution panels and power cables, and labeling units with "ON" and "OFF" indicators.
- Installing emergency contact information tags.
- Operating and maintaining TEMP CW units throughout the availability period.
- Removing TEMP CW units and reinstalling existing chill water (CW) piping using new gaskets and packing.
- Performing an operational pressure test on existing CW piping.
- The temporary air-cooled heat pump water chiller must have a minimum cooling capacity of 119 kW and a circulation pump flow rate of 122 GPM.
Contract & Timeline

- Eligibility: Restricted to firms possessing a current Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) in the Japan Region. Firms without an active MSRA/ABR are ineligible unless there is adequate time for the Navy to assess their application. This is not a small business set-aside.

Evaluation
