The requirement involves providing preservation products and technical services for U.S. Navy ships. Key aspects include:

  • Preservation Products: Supply U.S.-manufactured paint, coatings, and preservation products compliant with U.S. federal, state, and local VOC limits, specialized for marine applications, and meeting the attached Navy Paint Warranty. Products must be NAVSEA approved, have a minimum 50% shelf life at delivery, and adhere to specific packaging and compatibility standards. Prohibited substances include lead, zinc chromate, coal tar epoxy, and tributyltin.
  • Technical Services: Provide technical support, field service technical representation, and technical evaluation/troubleshooting from a paint OEM.
