The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requires one (1) Vent Silencer designed for intermittent air flow. Key technical specifications include:

  • Pressure: Design pressure of 120 PSIG at the 6” ASME/ANSI B16.5 flange inlet.
  • Temperature: Max operating temperature of 70°F, capable of handling temperatures down to -5°F.
  • Noise Reduction: Dampen noise to less than 85 dBA at 10 feet from the outlet.
  • Construction: Vertical, with saddle hangers, a diffuser designed to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, and two lifting lugs/hooks engineered to lift 1.5 times the silencer's weight.
