Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure a high-resolution ultrasound imaging system for precise, real-time, noninvasive visualization of mouse embryos in utero, enabling guided embryonic injection procedures. This system aims to improve accuracy, reduce variability, increase success rates, enhance animal welfare, and support NIH priorities for scientific rigor and reproducibility.

• Purchase and delivery of a high-resolution ultrasound imaging system.

• The system must provide real-time, noninvasive visualization of embryos in utero for guided injections.

• No existing equipment meets the required real-time, high-resolution imaging capability.

• The system will support ongoing and future NIH-funded studies in in utero manipulation and developmental biology research.

• User will maintain scheduled maintenance.

• Equipment will be secured behind a coded door inside the facility.

• Invoices are to be submitted monthly to the Department of Treasury’s Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) at https://www.ipp.gov and NHLBIContractsBranchB@mail.nih.gov (for two-way invoices).

• Invoices must be submitted no later than 10 business days after the billing cycle of the previous month.

• Invoices shall only include services rendered during the billing period and be billed at rates specified in the Schedule of Items.
