Scope of Work
The requirement is for one (1) Portable Weapons Training Simulator System, brand name or equal to VirTra- Virtual Interactive Coursework and Training Academy. The system must be mobile, quick to set up, and compact, with a laptop-based instructor station. Key features include:
- Computer System: Windows 10+, lifetime software updates, data encryption, standalone operation, FIPS 140-2 certified wireless, 4K resolution graphics.
- Projection System: 1920 x 1080 resolution or better, 2800+ lumens, with a 12’ projection screen.
- Operational Specifications: Self-calibrating, includes Sig Sauer P320 X Full and X Carry replica weapon simulators (expandable to AR, shotgun, carbine platforms), flashlights with IR lens. Supports individual marksmanship training for 2-4 trainees.
- Scenarios: Minimum 100 scenarios (expandable) covering mental illness, de-escalation, use of force, skill drills, and low light, with a primary focus on close quarters, person-on-person engagement. Must allow custom scenario creation and branching based on decisions.
- Training & Maintenance: Nationally-certified de-escalation training curriculum, vendor-provided on-site customer/operator training, minimum one-year parts/labor warranty, and technical support.
- Manufacture Date: Within one year of the award date.
Submission Requirements
Interested vendors must submit a capability statement via email to Mark.Clayburne@va.gov by June 12, 2026, at 10:00 am CDT. The statement should include:
