This project aims to replace the existing pump and motor at Infiltration Gallery #2 (IG2) for the Winthrop National Fish Hatchery (WNFH) in Winthrop, WA. IG2 is critical for providing up to 4500 gallons per minute of filtered ground water, essential for supporting fish life at the facility.

Base Bid: Replace Pump and Motor at Infiltration Gallery #2 (IG2)

• Project preparation and demolition, including pulling the existing pump (US Motors 60HP) and Flowserve pump (Model 17PSH-1).
• Pre-cleaning video camera investigation of approximately 40 feet of well casing to identify defects or debris.
• Vertical casing cleaning using scrubbing or other approved methods.
• Replacement of the pump and motor with "in kind" units compatible with the existing variable frequency drive and generator.
• Start-up and pump/pressure testing to ensure acceptable operation.
• Provision of hard copy manuals for the new pump and motor.
• Proper transport and disposal of old pump, motor, and associated materials.
• Replacement of the existing Insert Style Flow Sensor with an "in kind" Flow Sensor compatible with Data Industrial Flow Monitor Series 1500.
• Ensure flow sensor accuracy using weir crest measurements at the adult pond after pump and motor replacement.
• Provision of hard copy manual for the new flow sensor, including programming details.
• Proper transport and disposal of the old flow sensor and associated materials.

Option A: Repair Additional Findings

• Identification of any problems discovered during the Base Bid work.

• Negotiation of price and delivery/repair times for any necessary repairs.

• Performance of replacements and repairs to correct deficiencies and make the system fully operational.

• Location: Winthrop National Fish Hatchery (WNFH), 453A Twin Lakes Rd, Winthrop, WA 98862.

• Period of Performance: Must be completed and invoiced by August 31, 2026. Construction window to be coordinated with hatchery staff and the Contracting Officer or COR during Preconstruction Conference.

• Work must comply with American Water Works Association Standards (AWWA).

• Coordination with hatchery staff is critical to minimize disruptions to operations.

• Contractor must furnish all temporary facilities and utilities.

• Contractor must provide a Project Schedule within 7 days of award.

• Contractor to provide camera investigation footage and findings.

• Contractor to provide Specification, Operations and Maintenance Manuals (O&M), and warranties.

• Contractor to provide testing, maintenance, and demonstration/training of operation to Hatchery staff.

• Contractor must notify the COR/Hatchery Manager a minimum of three (3) days prior to arrival on-site and/or needing access to any of the building.
