Scope of Work

The contractor will perform laboratory and field services for water analysis and must immediately alert FMC Devens in writing of any problems. Systems requiring service encompass boilers, chillers, cooling towers, hot water loops, chilled water loops, and a warehouse boiler.
Specific requirements include:
- Routine Service: Minimum 12 monthly scheduled visits per year during normal working hours.
- Emergency Service: Response within four hours of notification.
- Testing & Analysis: In-plant testing (minimum one hour per visit), annual boiler/chiller internal inspections, deposit analysis, and collection of corrosion coupons and water samples for laboratory analysis.
- Training & Reporting: Annual operator training and written reports for each plant visit, submitted within 14 calendar days. Problem assessments must be provided within ten days of sample collection.
- Supplies: All chemicals, test kits, reagents, and chemical feed pumps are to be provided, installed, and maintained by the contractor, with local warehousing for resupply. Empty chemical containers are to be disposed of by the contractor.
