WINDOW REPAIRS - USCG AIR STATION BARBERS POINT

Statement of Work (SOW)

To prevent water intrusion into Building 1790 (Hangar) at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Kapolei, Hawaii.

• Remove and replace caulking and sealants on the exterior, ocean-facing windows of Building 1790.

• Work includes sealing between the metal frame and building, and between the frame and glazing.

• Materials must meet current codes and industry standards for exterior work.

• If paint coating is required for repairs, it must match existing colors and sheen, and be compatible with existing surfaces and primer.

• Finished product colors must be as similar to existing as possible.

• Elastomeric coating and primer must be applied per manufacturer's directions.

• Location: Air Station Barbers Point, 1 Coral Sea Rd., Kapolei, Hawaii 96707.

• Period of Performance: Limited to 45 calendar days from contract award.

• Work hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (Federal Holidays excluded), unless otherwise approved.

• Safety: Contractor must comply with OSHA Safety and Health Standards (29 CFR Part 1926) and provide necessary barriers and protection.

• Inspection: Contractor is responsible for construction inspection and maintaining records. Government reserves the right to inspect.

• Materials: All materials require approval by the COR and Government. Submit primer/coating manufacturer information, warranty, and color samples for approval.

• Demolition: Must be done orderly and carefully, patching areas to match existing finishes and protecting existing work.

• Construction: Follow manufacturer's instructions and protect landscaping/unaffected areas.

• Security: Contractor personnel must be enrolled in the Omnivee program and provide a list of all on-site personnel. Personnel will be restricted to designated areas and must have photo identification.

• Site Investigation: Bidders must visit the site to verify conditions and extent of work. Contact the primary POC to arrange a visit.

• Continuity of Facilities Operation: Schedule work to minimize interference with facility operations and notify the Contracting Officer and site POC 24 hours in advance of shutdowns.

• Sanitary Facilities: Available for contractor use.

• Water and Electricity: 120V electricity and water are available at no cost. Contractor is responsible for connection/disconnection costs.
