Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

These services will support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and community engagement efforts.

• Translation Services: Convert FEMA's English-language materials into Central Alaskan Yup'ik. Materials may include disaster preparedness guides, public safety notices, recovery program documents, and community outreach content.

• Proofreading and Quality Assurance: Review translated materials for linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and grammatical correctness.

• Project Manager: Must be designated, available to the COR (0800-0430 AKT, Mon-Fri), and respond to technical issues within 4 hours.

• Local Priority Hiring: Prioritize hiring translators within the declared disaster area.

• Organizational Conflict of Interest: Contractor must warrant no conflicts and disclose any potential issues.

• Security: Comply with DHS Security and Training Requirements.

• Post Award Conference: Attend within 5 business days of award.

• Progress Reports: Provide weekly reports.

• Quality Control: Develop and maintain an effective quality control program, delivered within 15 days of award.

• Government Acceptance: COR has 5 business days to review; Contractor has 15 business days for corrections.
