Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To upgrade three existing Land Mobile Radio Communications sites by installing new self-support towers or extending an existing tower to increase the functionality of the parks' Land Mobile Radio System. The current tower structures are inadequate for required antennas.

• Boulder Beach Ranger Station: Install a 60ft self-support tower with a concrete foundation. Includes excavation, foundation design, concrete strength testing, ground ring installation, and restoration of surrounding areas. Requires installation of step bolts, climbing ladder, safety climb system, tower top lightning rod, and two antenna standoffs. Spoils must be removed offsite.

• Willow Beach Saddle Communications Site: Install a 30ft self-support tower with a concrete foundation. Similar requirements to Boulder Beach, including excavation, foundation design, testing, ground ring, and restoration. Requires tracked or four-wheel drive vehicles for access. Excess spoils may be spread at the site.

• Hill Top Communications Site: Install a 10ft tower section to extend an existing 40ft tower to 50ft. Includes installation of two new sector frame antenna mounts, one new waveguide ladder, and a new safety climb system. Government Furnished Property (GFP) for tower steel, antenna mounts, waveguide ladder, and safety climb devices will be provided.

• Concrete Compressive Strength test required for foundations.

• Daily logs detailing tasks performed and personnel working, including photos, to be submitted weekly in PDF format.

• Weekly progress meetings/calls with the COR or NPS representatives.

• Weekly schedule updates (showing past, current, and future two weeks) and progress photos to be submitted.

• Final inspection at each site with COR and Lake Mead Radio Shop representative.

• Project locations: Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LAKE NRA), specifically Boulder Beach Ranger Station (Boulder City, NV), Willow Beach Saddle Communications Site (Mohave County, AZ), and Hill Top Communications Site (Boulder City, NV).
