  • Electrical: Removal and replacement of electrical systems, installation of new power, lighting, controls, emergency lighting, telecommunications infrastructure, and electronic safety/security systems (fire alarm, access control, nurse call). Full commissioning is required.
  • Mechanical: Demolition of existing systems, installation of a new Air Handling Unit (AHU), new air distribution, hydronic work, HVAC control systems, testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), and enhanced commissioning.
  • Plumbing & Fire Protection: Modification and installation of new plumbing for fixtures, and modifications/additions to sprinkler heads. Full commissioning is required.
  • Structural: New floor and wall penetrations, infill of existing penetrations, installation of a new concrete housekeeping slab in the attic, and miscellaneous steel framing.

All work must comply with federal, state, and local building codes, including NFPA, UL, IBC 2003, NEC, and VA Information Security Handbook 6500.6, as well as Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements.
