The project includes general construction, alterations, removal of existing elements, and new construction. The scope of work involves design-build services for the renovation of approximately 8,470 SF across various sections of the fourth floor. Specific tasks include:

• Painting, new ceiling grids, tiles, and LVT flooring in Sections A & C.

• Light demolition, new ceiling grids, tiles, and carpet in Sections D & G (to remain open Team Areas).

• Reframing with metal stud and gypsum walls for Exam Rooms or Offices in Sections D, E, G, and F, with new ceiling grids, tiles, and either carpet or LVT depending on usage.

• Heavy demolition of CMU walls in Section B, reframing with metal stud and gypsum walls, and new LVT flooring.

• Installation of new Fan Coil Units with associated piping for all sections.

• Abatement of asbestos-containing material in existing VCT flooring mastic and hydronic piping insulation.

• Utilization of trades including Demolition/Asbestos abatement, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, low-voltage, fire protection, life safety, painting, carpentry, millwork, flooring, data, and physical security.

• The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

• Project completion is estimated at 360 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking information to identify Design-Build firms capable of renovating the 4th floor of Building 3 into a Primary Care Unit at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. No formal solicitation document exists at this time.
