Scope of Work
The Statement of Work (Attachment I) details the required services, which include:
- Towing Services: Transporting the YCV-19 barge to and from the contractor's facility.
- Docking and Undocking: Dry docking or hauling the barge for underwater hull repair and preservation, including cleaning and blocking.
- Underwater Hull Maintenance: Cleaning, surface preparation (high-pressure water, power tool cleaning), and priming bared surfaces with zinc primer.
- Structural & Exterior Preservation: Identifying markings, preparing surfaces, and applying specified coatings (e.g., MIL-PRF-24667, Class B).
- Zinc Anode Replacement: Removal of existing and installation of new zinc anodes.
- Main Deck Repair & Preservation: Removing and installing new non-skid coating systems, replacing damaged fittings (pad-eyes, cleats), priming/repainting components, and replacing hatches, coaming, and hardware.
- Void Preservation: Gas freeing, cleaning, touch-up painting, and air testing within interior void spaces. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility in Japan.
