Statement of Work (SOW)

To completely replace the weathered and deteriorated exterior siding of Quarters 128, also known as "Calkins House," at the National Elk Refuge.

• Demolition: Remove existing wrapping, board and batten siding, trim, soffits, and fascia. Haul away and dispose of all construction debris.

• Siding Installation: Install new weatherproof wrap and then install prefinished smooth siding and wood trim. The siding must be rated for extreme environmental temperatures, require no long-term maintenance like re-staining, and be an engineered wood product or fiber cement product. Vinyl or natural wood siding is not accepted. The recommended color is Prairie Clay or a similar neutral earth tone.
