Scope of Work

  • Propane System Rehabilitation: Removal of existing propane piping and installation of approximately 3,080 linear feet (LF) of new propane distribution piping and 1,980 LF of propane service piping. Approximately 330 LF of service piping will be installed via horizontal directional drilling. Installation of new shutoff valves is also required. A licensed plumber is mandatory for all propane system work.
  • Drainage Improvements: Cleaning of two culverts, excavation of 560 cubic yards (CY) of channel material (to be hauled to a park-provided disposal site), and construction of an earthen berm using 285 CY of haul-on material to mitigate flooding along Ben Reifel Road.
  • Compliance: The contractor is responsible for soil compaction tests, and prevailing wage rates (Davis-Bacon Act) for South Dakota Heavy and Highway Construction Projects apply.

  • Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract.
  • Period of Performance: 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
  • Bid Guarantee: Required, 20% of the bid price or $3 million, whichever is less.
