Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for all demolition and concrete work, furnishing equipment and materials, and performing required testing. Key tasks include:
- East Shop Floor Slab: Remove and replace approximately 800 sq ft of concrete slab, including demolition of a concrete vault/vehicle maintenance pit to 18 inches below the new slab's bottom. The vault will be filled with engineered fill. New concrete will be a minimum of 8 inches thick, 4,000 psi compressive strength, steel-reinforced, with expansion joints and sealant.
- Outdoor Wash Bay: Remove and replace the concrete slab, remove a filled-in drain, and grade the area for proper drainage away from the building. New slab specifications are similar to the shop floor.
- Walkways and Sidewalks: Remove and replace damaged concrete walkways and perimeter sidewalks, ensuring grading promotes drainage away from buildings.
- Drainage Improvement: Address wider drainage issues around the shop building by improving the overall drainage scheme of paved areas.
